While talking, the men determined who will win the next presidential election, the women determined when the right time is to reveal a pregnancy, and the children determined how many marshmallows and glasses of Diet Pepsi they could have before their parents caught on. It was also determined that if Gary and I want to continue naming our children after Old Testament people (which we didn't set out to do on purpose, by the way, we don't consider ourselves theme-namers yet), we will probably somewhere along the line need to name a child Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz. Enjoying Our Local Canyon
We went up the nearest canyon on Friday night and had a cookout with some friends from our neighborhood. It was great to depart from our usual ice cream-and-TV Friday night routine (although I still love the routine, seriously), and great to get a chance to get to enjoy the gorgeous fall and chat with great people. (Yes, great is my adjective of choice, currently.)

Josh and the other little boy bonded over marshmallows and the phrase, "Go, Cougars!"

All these determinations--what are the answers?! I can't get over how funny Josh is. He definitely looks ready to work the crowd; he must be ready to follow in his father's footsteps.
If you do name a Maher-shalal-hash-baz, at least make sure you also have a Shear-jashub to balance it out.
No presents for the parents at Christmas!
I always enjoy reading your blog, you just have a way with explaining yourself. Fun, Fun!! Sorry about the park, Kiana had a bathroom problem! Did you read my new gynetin violet story? It was a good night, let me tell you!
Hey, no rain. What a novelty! No chance of pronouncing this (vjjokbtb)...sorry.
In response to your shout out, that is hilarious. My husband says I am a horrible hostess, I never offer people drinks, I once started clearing someone plate while they were still eating, and the list goes on... and you guys took most of the pictures.
About the naming your child imminent destruction, I might get worried how they would behave. Playgroup could get a little scary.
What? Since when did you start wearing glasses? That really threw me off. Glad Josh is an early bloomer and ready to join the elite socialites. Cute pics!
Whoever Michelle is, the glasses are a sore subject so don't mention it! (dry eye, etc)
Sounds like a great time had by all. Your little guy is such a little ladies man (and how could he not? He's so cute!) So who did the guys decided will be the next president? And when did the ladies decide is the best time to reveal a pregnancy? Did anyone figure out the secret of life?
