From Macey's Freezer to The Butterfly Release

Gorgeous spring this year! So welcomed because our family had a rough winter, and also last year's spring was yuck-o. Here are a few snippets of our doings, starting with a preschool field trip to Maceys grocery store . . .

My flash wasn't on for these first couple, but it's kind of artistic . . . Here's Andrew in the freezer. Notice all the frozen treats behind him. It's so fun for the kids to see behind the scenes.

One of the highlights - the other side of the refrigerator. The kids got to peek out and see other people shopping for milk and yogurt. It's kid-twilight-zone!

This was one of my favorite things, since I've been on several such tours and never been up here. This is in the employee's lounge, and what do you know, there are windows that look out over the entire store. Mind your manners!

Everyone got a balloon in the end. So awesome.

Oh, you think our swingset is broken? No, no, actually it has been altered by the children to be an Indiana Jones  obstacle course. This way they can swing from vine to vine.

Okay, later on everything was back as it should be, and everyone thought it would be funny if Lissy got a chance to play.

Andrew was Captain America. Obviously.

Andrew learned how to pump the swing all by himself!

One day Josh said, "Can I take Lissy for a walk in her stroller?" Of course. They both enjoyed themselves, and I was impressed that Josh thought of that as an activity.

They were very proud to show me this. You can see why. I am amused that Noah is about to sneeze the entire time.

It was a rainy day. We played with scarves in preschool. Noah came up with this.

Andrew puts on a uniform every time the other boys have soccer practice. He is PROUD of himself.

Emma was over while her parents were away, and decided to play real-life baby-doll with Lissy. They played for at least an hour, and both of them loved it.

After two and a half wonderful weeks of metamorphosis, it was time to let our butterflies go. Noah didn't want to, but actually had fun when we did it.

There they go!

The butterflies were nice enough to come back and land on everyone's hands. It was awesome for the kids.
